As we know 1and1 is the largest hosting company in German. It has two brands for free email service, one is GMX, another is WEB.de.

Both GMX and WEB.de has long history for running the business. They are the most well known web portals in German.

I see GMX and WEB.de improved their UI design for webmail. Now the UI seems better than before, with less ADs, and more relaxed views.

Both are clean, easy to use. WEB.de is going with even more clean style.

As free mail providers, GMX and WEB.de has not bad repulation in the EU. I hope them get developed better.
